On Thursday I had a nine hour adventure date with my friend and model Emily Crutcher. She has a very set temperament. She is amazingly herself in every way possible and it makes everything she does amazingly fun, unpredictable and a riot in every way. Pure goodness(with a little bit of devil). And she's super pretty and has a unique sense of style so it's perfect for photography right? I mean she has a friggin doll's face!!!!!
Anyways the day started out rough. i couldn't sleep the night before so I slept in and she texted me at like 10:30 informing me that she was awake. by the time I actually started putting make up on her face it was about noon. She forgot socks so she had to borrow mine (she still has them). And also she forgot her wallet so we went back to her house got her wallet straightened her hair and we were off. We went and picked up the camera from my friend Adam. Who is kind enough to let me use his dear Jezebel (his camera) until I can get my own. After that we decided to go get the top of Emily's hair cut and layered since it had grown out....that was the huge mistake of the day. The lady completely butchered her hair. And i mean it.
So we ended up going back to her house and she gave me scissors and told me to fix it. After she had showered again though. the lady put some crap in her hair that made it greasy. yuck. So we straightened it and I cut it. i won't lie it was nerve wracking. i didn't want to take off too much.
So after that trial we finally left for Bardstown road. We went to Ear Exctasy(sp?). We actually missed the turn off and had to turn around and go back. Ad we got so many weird looks from moms in their vans. Emily believes in loud music thats awesome with all the windows down. Plus her car shakes.
We took a few pictures but it was really hot and she was pretty miserable so we headed over to Tess's mom's house cause she lives near there. She changed and we hung out there for a little bit. Which brings us to the lesbian south park episode and the evil demon dog Petey. A chihuahua. This dog has never behaved like this before. he actually jumped after her and attacked her!!!! I mean he didn't like Erin very much and she wanted to pet him. Andrea just picked him up and totally took over when he tried to growl at her. But Emily.....he HATED her. He was vicious and growled when she was in sight. She did provoke him but still he was horrible. he even lunged over me. And he bit her on the hand....good thing he only has four teeth.
i wanted to go to Cavehill but it was already closed. So then we decided to go down to Waterfront park and the Bellvedere. thats where the outfit with the pink shorts was used. It was a lot cooler by the river and she finally stopped screwing around so we got some good shots. i made her jump like three times to get a shot of her mid jump. ANd this crazy old lady told her she thought she was gonna have to save her from jumping over the edge....psycho. Right when we were leaving this carnival like music started blasting....extremely loud. And we were ina tunnel like area so it ECHOED!!! i seriously though I was going to be run over by an ice cream truck. But it was the Belle of Louisville. Playing it's homing beacon....It still sounds creepy in my head.
After that we headed over to Hayes Kennedy Park. She changed into the third outfit (with an awesome sweater vest), and we were off. She said there was a really cool plus where you go down stairs and you can see the ocean.... Except it was actually the Ohio River. Emily is just smart like that. So we went and took pictures down there. I made her crouch down on this log and her belt buckle kept stabbing her. lol. And I kept yelling at her to make soft face cause her face was to hard. i think we were both a little loopy at that point cause everything came out sounding a little pervy. And then we found IT.
That's right the fish. it had gigantic razor teeth. Emily was walking along a log when she saw it and started screaming about the dead fish and came running over to me....sort of makes you wonder? I mean it was dead after all.... Anyways it was huge!!!!! And so long!!!! -- i'll stop now. So we finally finished up our pictures and headed back to her house, we must have walked like 8 miles....and you know what? We still have at least two more outfits to do.
